3rd-party Domain Registrars

You do not have to use South Florida Web hosting as your domain name registrar, but if you do not then you will have to change your domain record at your registrar to direct visitors to your Web site.  There are two ways to do this:

Option 1 - Change which Domain Name Servers provide the domain information
While your registrar can remain unchanged, the best option is to simply change where the registrar sends lookup requests for the name. In order to do this, first verify in our control panel which two name servers are providing service for your domain. These are listed on the domain info page, found under the Domain Settings option on the menu bar. Our name servers are guaranteed to provide service for the domains that we host regardless of whether you choose to use them or not. Using your registrar's control panel, change the domain registration to refer to those two name servers. Clients looking up your domain name will be referred to our DNS servers, and will automatically be sent to the correct Web servers.
Option 2 - Change the 3rd-parth Domain Name Servers
If you do not want to change the domain registration, then you will need to change where the currently assigned Domain Name Servers (DNS) send visitors. From our control panel you can locate the IP address of your Web site. It is listed on the domain info page, found under the Domain Settings option on the menu bar. If your registrar's control panel has an interface to change the DNS server records, then you will be able to change those entries to to send visitors to your Web site IP address.
